Objective

Our primary objective was to equip 1D3 with accurate and up-to-date user journey and conversion funnel data. This information was crucial for their international expansion plans, as they sought to test new markets before committing resources.

process

During the Google Analytics 4 (GA4) audit, the RocketScience team identified several key issues requiring immediate attention from the development team. These issues included: untracked forms (the “Book a Meeting” was not tracked) and migration disruptions (certain website events stopped functioning after the migration to a new website engine).

With this in mind, we created an elaborate Event Tracking Scheme, which was later implemented via GTM and ticked all the boxes.  

Our key achievements:

  • Created an Event and Parameter scheme together with the client; 
  • Added GA4 and GTM codes to the website;
  • Tagged all relevant forms on the website;
  • Fixed all legacy tags that stopped working after website migration;
  • Set up conversions for Google Ads advertising;
  • Created a customised Looker Dashboard to suit 1D3 reporting needs;
  • Conducted a training for wider 1D3 Sales team to ensure everyone is on board with the new tool and metrics.

Results

  1. GA4 profile successfully tracks all the relevant website events, providing valuable conversion data for Google and offering 1D3’s Sales and Marketing teams transparent insights into user journeys.
  2. We developed a user-friendly customer-specific Looker Dashboard with all the key data readily accessible for analysis.

What Else?

Beyond the GA4 implementation, we assisted 1D3 with Consent Management Platform (CMP) selection, integration and testing a suitable CMP solution. In addition, we have also helped setting up Chat requests tracking via HubSpot integration.
